New breakthrough in automobile manufacturing: flexible production lines achieve mixed-flow production of multiple models

In the critical period of transformation and upgrading of the automobile manufacturing industry, in the face of the diversification and personalization trend of market demand, flexible manufacturing technology is becoming an important direction for the development of the industry. Recently, our company's flexible assembly line project designed and implemented for a well-known domestic automobile manufacturer was officially put into operation. The automobile assembly line adopts a modular architecture and intelligent scheduling system, realizing efficient mixed-flow production of SUVs, cars and new energy models on the same production line. Through the quickly reconfigurable tooling system and intelligent recognition technology, the production line can complete the switching of production modes of different vehicle models within 60 minutes. Each workstation is equipped with a visual recognition device to automatically identify the vehicle model and call the corresponding assembly parameters and process procedures. The supporting intelligent logistics system uses AGV and RFID technology to realize accurate distribution and full traceability of parts and components, ensuring material collaboration in the mixed production of multiple models.
